RPAF Update

linaelyn's offered to host a poll, but I would love for everyone to have an input on possible name and would like to wait a bit because I know that people might not be checking this journal or be online. Please, if you know someone has a good idea, or might have a good idea, for a name, point them this way!

[How *exactly* do we define RPAF??]

In general the mood has been mad-absurd-caffinated-twisted-witty fic, which I see no problem with. But there's also been a couple fic slightly more serious in tone as well as fic with fictional characters as opposed to real celebs. I'd place them as subsidaries of RPAF, and I know that anthropormorphic fic pops up occasionally in other fandoms.

PotC in particular has some fabulous anthropormorphic fiction (::throws kisses in particular to d_r_o_n_e, cupiscent, and kapunua::), but they tend towards the serious side and I would *hate* for a newbie to first stumble upon them through RPAF and think that they were a big joke, because those fics are beautiful taken seriously.

Then again, inkbug's Etchings (Johnny Depp / Tattoos) are on the serious side...

Thoughts on the matter?

Thing is, Anthropormorphic fiction is toungue-in-cheek already. But I'm not directly involved in the RPS fandom (I've read some but I haven't wrote any nor participated in discussions) and don't know if there are those who take RPS so seriously that they might be offended...for instance, similar perhaps to the case with the PotC fic?
