guede_mazaka is lovely in many ways and posted a detailed, thoughtout, and concise report about the wank that have been occurring over in HP fandom about the dying cancer paitent.

And if nothing else, this whole thing prompts me to make a similar statement to what she says towards the end:

Please, please, please, don't ever wank in my name. If you ever feel the need to leap to my defense on anything? Please don't. Don't try to defend me, don't try to save me, and especially (especially) do NOT do it anonymously.

What you can do is tell me about whatever it is if it's happening, so that I will know and can decide personally what to do. Please do tell me things if you think I'd be concerned about it; but please don't ever try to fight my battles for me.
