Things are still strange. Not quite sure what to say about that, 'cause it's not all my story to tell.

Privacy is a really sticky thing, and I'm always wondering just how much goes through. Technically, anything committed to online-space is accessible with enough determination, never you mind 'security measures'. As a fan that means I'm always trying to balance between being known enough to be found by other fen and being safe enough in general. Ditto for being a slasher and for being a mind/interacting-being in this strange creature known as cyberspace.

I've never kept a diary for longer than a week or so, between nosy family and general paranoia and general nothing-to-say-ness it always skitters blank on me. And, for the important stuff? They're safer committed to memory. And if they're written, there's a chance that it'll be read. But: if something's written, there's a chance for it to be read.

"If a tree falls when no one's around, does it make a sound?"

same theory.

so.

anyhoo, ::hugs:: to all those who've written, I've tried to reply in a timely manner.

LJ attendance (*snerk*) will still be rather spotty. We'll see how it goes.

But a question: anything major that I missed in fandom? fics? recs lists? new archives?

ps.
oh, am having idea on icons and mood themes...::goes to fiddle:: has anyone else done this yet? any tips?

[edit] regarding moodtheme:
To see my icon moodset tree.
The admin console
where you can add/change your mood icons.
[to create: moodtheme_create "name" "des"]
[to set pics: moodtheme_setpic "ID" "mood ID" "picURL" "width" "height"]
