There's that thing about actors having on-screen chemistry have never fucked in RL.

Applied to Smallville, it might explain why there was surprisingly little chemistry between Lex and Victoria.

...it also has disturbing implications for TWelling and KKreuk via. Clark and Lana.

But then! Then I realized that Rosenbaum has chemistry with his pool cues.

Whereas Welling has none.

Which either means that Welling has been getting up to some *kinky* shit or that Rosenbaum just really disliked Victoria's actress, as all the various peoples did (or so I hear) and the theory is just proven false.

And thus, basis for some seriously hot RPS.

Michael Rosenbaum has sexual chemistry with most of the female characters, most of the male characters, the animate objects, inanimate objects, house pets and farm animals on that show.

It's pretty amazing.

*snickers* Or a very interesting revival of RPAS.

No, I'm fairly sure that's put down to the fact that Kelly Brook couldn't act her way out of a paper bag with a chainsaw *and* a blowtorch. I doubt Rosenbaum respected her as an actor and thus, couldn't fake being interested in her as a character. After all, MR had *mad* chemistry with Krista Allen (who played Desiree), and while his chemistry with Emmanuelle Vaugier (Helen) wasn't *romantic*, there was a definite snap and edge to their interactions that was entirely missing from MR and Brook.

As for Welling and Kreuk, I suspect the problem is that they think of one another as siblings in RL. If you've listened to the cast commentary on the S2 DVDs, it's very clear that everyone in the cast is really fond of everyone else; they kid around with each other with the kind of ease one would see at a *functional* family dinner. I think having to play Romantic with each other skeeves them out because to them, it's like making out with your brother or sister. Contrast this with TW opposite Allison Mack; they've got great chemistry with each other, and TW had really good chemistry with the actress who played Alicia in Obsession, too. I suspect it's because he doesn't think of either of them as his younger sister.

In other words? That 'theory' is an urban legend. ;-)

Bwahahaha. Tom Welling/pool cue = OTP.

I haven't seen any of the episodes Boobs McChesty (tm TWoP) is in, but the idea of someone *not* having chemistry with Michael Rosenbaum boggles my mind. He has chemistry with everything - female, male, inanimate objects, barnyard animals... What in the world would an actress have to be doing wrong to not catch some of that? Suddenly I'm very scared to watch more of my S1 DVDs. *g*

OH! I've seen that part! Is that the line - "If sleeping with me was just buisness, I'd hate to think what that makes you?"

B/c that? Totally worth the price of admission for season one as a whole.

GAH, yes. That was the best. Thing. Ever.

Man...like I told [livejournal.com profile] piper47 yesterday when we were watching "Zero"...I think I'm a little bit in love with Michael Rosenbuam. And a LOT in love with Lex Luthor. *g*

Ah, true. But the *angst* - oh, the angst. With the pretty pretty boys who have all the longing glances and you want Clark to tell Lex and you want Lex to stop playing his dad's game and you know they won't and theirloveissodoooooooooomed...

:peeks eyes out from between fingers: SO doomed. This show is gonna RUIN me.

YES. Aw, man. You know I was gonna walk away after I saw "Covenent," because I swore that if I got into SV, I'd leave before Clark and Lex broke up*. But reading spoilers and fic and watching older episodes with things like BOW-TYING and hugging and spending more time with your best man than your wife-to-be at your own ceremony and...and....and... :cries: I can't look away. I've tried, but I can't look away!

* I'd stop referring to it like that, but man they so did. With the "this friendship is over!" and the hurt puppy dog look and the :WIBBLE:

:sniffle: See, this is why I'm so into fanfic in this fandom. I live in denial. Rift? What rift? I can't hear you, lalalaa...

i don't claim to have any idea how your mind works, but it ends in some seriously hot RPS, and thus, i heartily approve.
