I had no idea you'd gotten sick -- so sorry to hear that. I wish you could have stayed as well for the History panel, just to hear what people had to say (I was deeply afraid that you had bolted just before we started talking about Gravity becuase you didn't want to hear your vid talked about, until someone told me different). It was an interesting cross-section -- a lot of people couldn't get past the song because they seemed to just hate the type of music (I mean, how could anyone hate perfect circle? I do not comprehend). There were a handful of us who loved it, of course, but I just let the other people talk, since I think as a panel mod I shouldn't argue with people unless... well, they really need arguing with. ;-)
BTW, thanks for the words about Atom Bomb -- it's at my site at http://www.gwynethr.net. Also, I saw your comments earlier about There's No Way Out of Here, and I meant to say that I was glad for the nice comments, but I also was sad that it was too contextual. You always hope that everything will come through, regardless, I guess. I made that one as uncontenxtual as I could, just because I knew that few people would know all the source, so I tried to let the lyric/clip match do the talking waaay more than usual... so it's always a kind of "waugh!" thing when someone still feels like it's inaccessible to them, and I'm sorry to hear that. At the time I made it, almost no one knew LFN, a lot of people still weren't watching Buffy (no, really! It's true!), and X-Files was the only one where people had some frame of reference. It's kind of weird in hindsight now. And people STILL have no knowledge of LFN! ;-) I wonder if the fact that it's three shows that makes it feel too contextual -- like the cumulative effect, or something?
Anyways, regardless, thanks for the comments on the vids. Still am just basking in your Jeremiah vid most of all...
