[livejournal.com profile] boniblithe is hosting A Christmas Card Exchange!!

No, let me explain! It's in-character x-mas cards!

Like, you can get a x-mas card from Jack Sparrow or Gojyo or Naruto or Rodney McKay or Jayne or Wraith! (A Wraith! ::GLEE!::) and you can have it be addressed to a fannish character too! And you can get as creative as you want with the card and it's like easier and potentially more finger craft-y (which is easier for me than turning out 1000 words) than [livejournal.com profile] yuletide!

YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. ::beams at ya'll::

Ouh! *Squees and runs to sign up* My mum actually used to do something like this for me when I was younger! I'd get presents from a lord at the local Renaissance Faire.

...I have weird fandoms. ^^;

I've totally signed up, that'd be awesome! I had difficulty choosing only three fandoms, giving and recieving!

Can I ask how you make those santa hat icons? I have a picture I want to put a santa hat on a character but I can't get the angles right and don't have a program to do it :-s

I'm all excited and thinking about getting paper and accessories and how I can make some particular fandom ones!

Now you've got me wondering... what exactly would a Wraithcard look like? An extended 'resistance is useless' monologue? A mailing envelope with a fork and a little slip of paper that says "you're next"? A very nice card with best holiday wishes and a polite request for directions to your home planet?

the guy in the middle please... I'd saved a santa hat picture but I can't find one now, grr!
would it be possible to have a bit of his quiffy hair at the front still showing though?

I hope I'm not the only Age-of-Sailor involved. I wish I knew more Aubrey/Maturin fangirls, anyway; I have a wicked yen to send people Christmas cards from [livejournal.com profile] killick...

Sweet! You've made many other people happy it seems, but just adding another drop to your ego-boo bucket o' love.

The fork could be tied with a cheerful Christmas bow!

And one of those matching plastic mug/bowl combinations... maybe with one of those Kincade paintings on one side and a 'scorched earth' version on the other?

SO. VERY. WRONG.
