So like, I was watching this super-cool Hercules and Iolaus vid and was brilliant and hot and all sorts of neat and I went to rewind it to watch it again.

About a quarter of the way through the second watching, I'd realized I was dreaming, and I managed to hold onto the dream only up to the second chorus.

Someone had done this great Doctor Who vid to Richard Shindell's "I Saw My Youth Today," and I watched it and it was amazing and I rounded up people to see it and then it wouldn't play again!

I woke up and thought: Cool vid, but bad song choice.

*snort* In a completely different fandom, I feel your pain. Once, after seeing the first X-Men movie and getting a wee bit obsessed with it (I'm convinced it started my love affair with film in general), I dreamed I saw a sequal, and it was totally kick-ass brilliant. Then I woke up, and I couldn't remember a single detail. Just that it had been brilliant, full of character detail and with a minimum of superhero stuff, and I'd never ever see it again.

I can also tell you that the real X2, when it came out, did not measure up to my dream X2, even though I wouldn't be able to say why.

That's happened to me so many times although sadly not the seeing a vid part. It's so frustrating because you're willing yourself somehow to keep dreaming and then its all over and you're still dying to finish it.

It was epic and romantic and slightly angsty and very tender. It was grand scale and intimate all at once and I think it had footage that did not actually exist. Le Sigh.

yes and no. See, to be able to vid this I'd have to find a song, then have ways of getting around The Source That Does Not Exist, then rewatch all of Hercules. So it's tentatively on my to-do list, but like, with the way I vid it might be out in a couple years...
