For most people who've not been musically trained I think it's mostly subliminial, but it's never that it does register, it just registers on a level that's more "gut feeling" rather than anything expressable.
That makes perfect sense! It is still very much gut-centred even if you have been musically-trained, you can just identify why easier.
I find I get that about most things literary; I can express that it *works* and how it makes me feel, but damned if I can figure out *why*.
Oh god, me too. It's terrible when I try and recommend it to friends because all I can think to say is that it's good and great and... and... read!!
Speaking of friends, I made one of mine watch it yesterday, and then we made her brother. She loved it - how you clipped it, how it flowed, just the entire thing. And her brother (who's fifteen, so you can probably get a glimmer of his personality) responded with 'Cool!'.
When I also asked him if it had converted him (he's seen an ep and though it was pretty good), he replied "I think it may have." So extra well done on the conversion factor. :P
