Isn't it just too fun? You got a love a series where the only canon sex is a thirteen-year-old boy getting raped, that's what I always say.

As for recs: scanlations are here, Finding Beauty's pretty good despite the name, anything at Phantom Moon is usually good (as has been said), this is an unusual pairing and one of my favorites, and-- most importantly of all-- rackhamrose has a story called "Twenty-One" that's been going up in pieces at Simple Things that pretty much everyone should read, because it's so good.

My god. You can still type after watching YnM? It took me about two hours to scrape the me-puddle off the couch. Half way through the series, I had a mental breakdown and couldn't figure out why they're all so pretty. And then I had to punch my friend Chris for showing me yet another anime with male rape, which seems to be his genre.

Half way through the series, I had a mental breakdown and couldn't figure out why they're all so pretty.
I just figure EnMaCho likes 'em young and hot. Then you only have to explain why Muraki's so pretty (because, clearly, he hangs out with Oriya because he's bee-yuu-tee-ful.)

FYI, the running-so-low-under-the-radar-it's-pretty-much-invisible US Manga release is next month! Of course they're calling it Descendants of Darkness because Japanese is soooo scary. :p

Squee, Tsuzuki! My favourite undead, gay detective ever! Yami no Matseui was the second anime I ever saw, and Tsuzuki and Hisoka are almost solely responsible for sucking me into the world of yaoi (only because thehandful of Trigun episodes I saw first didn't include any with Wolfwood-the-Yakuza in them, but still).

Muraki is still one of the creepiest anime villains I've ever seen. I think it's because he collects dolls, and dolls are about the ultimate in scary evil.

I know! The first fifteen seconds of the opening song, with the "ShinypurpleeyesofultimatesadnessOMG" was what sucked me in--Yami's one of the only fandoms where I can read the phrase "emerald eyes" or "amethyst eyes" without becoming terminally annoyed. I never noticed before that Tsuzuki's eyes get larger the more uke he's being, but now that you've mentioned it, I think you might be right. Hmmm... They get bigger when he's begging for cinnamon rolls too.

Must go watch DVDs again.
