“…and then she hit me!” Jack circled sand with the heel of his bottle. Took a swig.

The water lapped a teasing curve across his left thigh. Shuffled towards his pants’ closures.

“My mistress,” Jack laughed, “you are simply insatiable!” He stood.

But.

Paused, tilted his head.

“Yes. ‘Mistress.’ I promised the Pearl−”

A sudden crest slammed into him, shoving Jack headfirst into the sand. He mouthed grit, dragged himself up, “Fine. Mayhap I deserved that, but.” Jack glanced down at the bottle.

Empty.

"My lady, you are too cruel." he managed, before another wave shoved him down, into the grit.
