*speechless. And breathless*

Wonderfully dark and creepy. Love the way you've used the Blake imagery.

Have you seen the film? (Because I haven't and I've heard mixed reviews.)

You craft the most lovely wallpapers! You've captured the dark atmosphere of the movie so perfectly, it's creeping me out a bit too. :o

As I was walking among the fires of hell, delighted with the
enjoyments of Genius; which to Angels look like torment and
insanity. I collected some of their Proverbs: thinking that as
the sayings used in a nation, mark its character, so the Proverbs
of Hell, shew the nature of Infernal wisdom better than any
description of buildings or garments.

Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.

A tribute to the man himself and your wallpaper as well, but perhaps darker than you'd like.

Well, just done the deed and abused the credit card once again so I guess I'll see for myself what the movie's like. The reviews I've heard have been so polarized either for or against, it'll be interesting to see what I make of it.

Know what you mean - I can just lose myself in looking at Johnny whatever the movie is like, usually (although beergut!Johnny towards the end of Blow challenged me...). And sometimes the styling of the movie (sets, camera work etc) can make it worth watching even if the plot or acting are poor.

De nada.

Immediately thought of the second snippet as soon as I saw the wallpaper. This one and the OUATIM slashy one are simply beautiful. Love the lingering story in that and the wonderfully chaotic tone of this.

Oh god.

That is absolutely gorgeous.

And scarily fitting, since it was on last night and I watched it. :D

Yep! Including the scheduler on channel 4. *grin*

It was...weird. He was fanTASTic. His expressions were too adorable, and Ikept spotitng flashes of Jack Sparrow in them. He also looked hellah sexy. It was the short beard/moustache thing. And the fact he was shirtless like three times. He kept getting bashed on the head though. *smirks*

Worryingly, I really wanted to lick the blood that dribbled from his hairline down his forehead off. *slurps*

It was on Channel 4 last night and I missed it? Must read those TV schedules more carefully.

That is very cool wallpaper ... though I have to say I really didn't like the character of Corso. (Wonderful acting, though. And sex scenes. Mmmm.)

Film is weird and flawed, but I liked it: there are some truly iconic scenes. Worth checking out!

AH, I am boring and always go through them. The name Johnny jumped out at me. ;D

OMG! I adore it! And it totally fits with the mood of 9th Gate. Even the colours fit.

Dean Corso is my favourite Johnny character, which seems a bizarre thing to say given Sands and Sparrow and Blake from Dead Man, but I'm such a huge fan of the avarice and the overcoat and the canvas bag.

I love 9th gate. I also love this (creepy) wallpaper!

corso has far too much sparrow in him for his own good. honestly.

Ooh! Really looking forward to seeing this now!

o. my. goodness.
it's just too good for words.
the Hell. the genius. the books. the Johnny...
...and Blake.
I love you.
[am I the only one *not* creeped out by this?..]

I looked at this for about half a second before setting it as my desktop wallpaper. Beautiful. I'm gonna space out in front of my computer like, all the time now.
