*speechless. And breathless*

Wonderfully dark and creepy. Love the way you've used the Blake imagery.

Have you seen the film? (Because I haven't and I've heard mixed reviews.)

You craft the most lovely wallpapers! You've captured the dark atmosphere of the movie so perfectly, it's creeping me out a bit too. :o

As I was walking among the fires of hell, delighted with the
enjoyments of Genius; which to Angels look like torment and
insanity. I collected some of their Proverbs: thinking that as
the sayings used in a nation, mark its character, so the Proverbs
of Hell, shew the nature of Infernal wisdom better than any
description of buildings or garments.

Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.

A tribute to the man himself and your wallpaper as well, but perhaps darker than you'd like.

Oh god.

That is absolutely gorgeous.

And scarily fitting, since it was on last night and I watched it. :D

That is very cool wallpaper ... though I have to say I really didn't like the character of Corso. (Wonderful acting, though. And sex scenes. Mmmm.)

Film is weird and flawed, but I liked it: there are some truly iconic scenes. Worth checking out!

Ooh! Really looking forward to seeing this now!

OMG! I adore it! And it totally fits with the mood of 9th Gate. Even the colours fit.

Dean Corso is my favourite Johnny character, which seems a bizarre thing to say given Sands and Sparrow and Blake from Dead Man, but I'm such a huge fan of the avarice and the overcoat and the canvas bag.

I love 9th gate. I also love this (creepy) wallpaper!

I looked at this for about half a second before setting it as my desktop wallpaper. Beautiful. I'm gonna space out in front of my computer like, all the time now.

*sighs* You do know you're making me change my desktop wallpaper all too often?

Doesn't help that I've recently read the book (Club Dumas), so now in addition to a maniacally giggling Sands I now also have a Corso with his "cute bunny" grin (honest to gods, that line was in the book) wanting me to write something about him...

Wow. I love it, especially the text through his face. A little Silence of the Lambs.

I saw "Ninth Gate" ages ago. I can't remember it exactly, but I seem to remember that Mr Depp was great as always. Must watch it again. I didn't find your beautiful wallpaper at all creepy, but then I'm a long term devotee of horror and scary things! I've been watching them since Noah were a lad! :-) Great wallpaper as always.

Very nice...9th Gate is one of my top five Johnny movies. (Can't have just one, not with this man!)

Speaking of which, would adore you forever if you could do a Dead Man one sometime...that movie ranks even higher in my book, odd though it is. I assume you've seen it? Johnny plays a man NAMED William Blake in it and there is more of his poetry in the movie and on the soundtrack. Johnny reads the poetry on the soundtrack, so that's a two for one!

Just watched 9th Gate, so now I can say that I find this creepier than the actual movie. It has this scary obsessive feel. Very cool.
