Wonderfully dark and creepy. Love the way you've used the Blake imagery.
Have you seen the film? (Because I haven't and I've heard mixed reviews.)

enjoyments of Genius; which to Angels look like torment and
insanity. I collected some of their Proverbs: thinking that as
the sayings used in a nation, mark its character, so the Proverbs
of Hell, shew the nature of Infernal wisdom better than any
description of buildings or garments.
Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.
A tribute to the man himself and your wallpaper as well, but perhaps darker than you'd like.

That is absolutely gorgeous.
And scarily fitting, since it was on last night and I watched it. :D

Film is weird and flawed, but I liked it: there are some truly iconic scenes. Worth checking out!

Dean Corso is my favourite Johnny character, which seems a bizarre thing to say given Sands and Sparrow and Blake from Dead Man, but I'm such a huge fan of the avarice and the overcoat and the canvas bag.
I love 9th gate. I also love this (creepy) wallpaper!

...and Blake.
I love you.
[am I the only one *not* creeped out by this?..]

unfortunately I get too creeped out to use it, partly because I was stuffing so much subtext into it and unerringly staring at the creepy bits, what with the triple crucifixes and merging with the walls and the silhouettes and Beelzebub floating in black space and god imprinted on Corso's forehead like a woodcut...::shudders and closes window::

Doesn't help that I've recently read the book (Club Dumas), so now in addition to a maniacally giggling Sands I now also have a Corso with his "cute bunny" grin (honest to gods, that line was in the book) wanting me to write something about him...

aheh...well, it was a week's space before I posted the slashy OUaTiM one...
and huh? canonical "cute bunny smiles"??
::blinks:: must look into this...

Speaking of which, would adore you forever if you could do a Dead Man one sometime...that movie ranks even higher in my book, odd though it is. I assume you've seen it? Johnny plays a man NAMED William Blake in it and there is more of his poetry in the movie and on the soundtrack. Johnny reads the poetry on the soundtrack, so that's a two for one!
