I hear ya though. If I woke up one day and someone told me I was no long allowed to make fanart... I'd do it anyway. Consequences be damned.

If I'm going to get busted for something, it's going to be a hell of a lot worse than being fannish. And I'm pretty sure everyone feels that way about what they do, be it vidding, collaging or writing. If we're all gonna be pegged criminals, it better be for something better than that.

I used to have some of your vidding posts saved in my favorites. They were unbelievably helpful. Now I can't get to them anymore and I NEED you!

Seriously, I friended you hoping it would make a difference, but I still can't get to them. Whether or not you allow access to them in the future, I thought I'd thank you for the help. You have no idea!

and, well, apologies for mentioning this, but your first comment kinda raised my hackles 'cause the way it was phrased made it sound like to me as if it was a case of entitlement or something. Kinda like the way people would feedback a fic and the main gist of the email is "how can you end it there? I'm owed more fic!" and well...it's not a 'right' for the Vid Meta page to be there. I didn't *have* to make it.

I'm sorry if I totally misunderstood; communication is sometimes difficult on LJ. ::wry grin::

The post was meant as a compliment to your helpfulness, though I admit I was sorry to see the Vid Meta page no longer available. I'm puzzled by the entitlement" bit you spoke of - that's why I wrote "whether or not you allow access in the future" before I thanked you. I must have REALLY worded that wrong - I suspect in the earlier bit when I was being silly and a little dramatic.

At any rate, I repeat my thanks to your helpfulness. Your pointers helped me with VirtualDub and guided me to making my first divx video, cutting some hours off my time getting it finished, I'm sure:)

From peering at it's website, it seems to be basically down although I'll wait the week before unlocking anything ('sides which it's hella insane this week)
