::HUGE HUGS:: hope all who might be in the area of affect are okay in London.

[livejournal.com profile] lithium_doll posts some of the better quotes surrounding the incident. My fave is this one:

"Shopkeepers are opening their doors bringing out blankets and cups of tea" I just smiled. It's like yes. That's Britain for you. Tea solves everything. You're a bit cold? Tea. Your boyfriend has just left you? Tea. You've just been told you've got cancer? Tea. Coordinated terrorist attack on the transport network bringing the city to a grinding halt? TEA DAMMIT! And if it's really serious, they may bring out the coffee. The Americans have their alert raised to red, we break out the coffee. That's for situations more serious than this of course. Like another England penalty shoot-out." - [livejournal.com profile] jslayeruk

t-minus 4 days. (and counting.)

Bond (James Bond) is an annoying fellow, is he not?

He is also very often scantily clad.

This must be taken advantage of.

But how?

Oh my yes, tea. There's an icon going the rounds of LJ that reads "the only civilised response to terrorism is a cup of tea", or something like that. You know what? This morning, the tubes and 'buses are running and people are using them. Last night, when the 'buses started up again, there were queues of people waiting for them. Terrorists? Bombs? Hah!
