See, thing is, it's mostly just spelling something in your head, and it only gets called a chant because that makes it sound more occulty. Gotta love neopagans.

What you do is you start with the nonsense word

SOMINA

Then move the S to the back so it's

OMINAS

Then move the O so it's

MINASO

then

INASOM

NASOMI

ASOMIN

SOMINA

OMINAS

and on and on until your brain wears itself out, or something. I don't know, I've been wide awake and started dozing thinking this stuff, so maybe the mind just doesn't like those letters and having to move them. But even if it doesn't knock you out, it tends to relax you enough to drift the rest of the way...

...damn, now I'm sleepy. I have to get to school in ten minutes...
