Yet more notes:

Jack says 'Opportune moment' twice in the movie. The second time in the scene where Barbossa was about to slit Will's throat and then Will says 'You've been planning this all along!'

The first time was when Jack dragged Will back from rushing off to save Elizabeth in the first cave scene.

And then Jack got all wide-eyed and pissed and did the 'don't be stupid' speech.

Situation one and two? There were ships docked outside, prepared to fight.

However, this means that Jack was either totally confident in Gibb's crew, OR that he was perfectly willing to sacrifice them to the cursed pirates.

side note: Will's eyes dropped down to Jack's mouth on 'reason not to trust me?' and swallowed. Jack's tone of voice in this whole thing is interesting. need to write a fic where he's constantly mentally complaining about 'that idiot whelp'

side note 2: during Jack's hanging, I can never quite figure out if Jack's head tilt when the noose was placed around his neck was because he was trying to call Elizabeth's attention to the parrot.

side note 3: Norrington has an amusing jaw-dropped expression when Jack was talking in the last scene with the 'rooting for you' bit.

side note 4: After Jack's 'It would have never worked between us, darling', Elizabeth's first reaction was to stare off into space. Will's first reaction was to look down.

side note 5: Elizabeth looks pissed/determined after Will says 'my place is between you and Jack'. Understandable really, but should've been more determined and less pissed tho.

side note 6: Will eyes' did this weird slide-back-forth and then looked kinda, well. bland after Elizabeth stepped in and added 'as is mine' as compared to the earnest and satisfied(?) expression he had on during 'my place is between...'

conclusions of 4~6: dude. I'm amazed by Depp's acting consistency even when not center stage. Bloom and Knightley needs work; helps with the slash, tho.

huh: Norrington's 'same care and devotion' speech. Named no names. What if he was talking about *Jack*, not Elizabeth? ::grin::

huh too: Jack recognized Will's binding of Elizabeth's hand

also: Norrington says to Jack that he needs to contemplate the phrase 'silent as the grave'. Can *you* imagine Jack shutting up, in this situation? Me neither. And what makes Norrington so annoyed at Jack for speaking? There weren't much onscreen talking between the two.

also part 2: Everybody has *way* ooodles of fun fighting. Barbossa's all cackling merrily and Will can't keep a grin from his face and Jack's swishing all over the place and Elizabeth is wacking people with a big stick.

also part 3: Barbossa looks. calm? content? upon death.

also part last: Will's hair is long and makes a nice halo when he's jumping around and it's loose.
