1) I love that Rodney talked to Whales. I cannot say this enough. I. Love. That.

2) I don't get how SGA has made me connect with characters so fast. My HEART jumped when Griffith died, and I'm like, WTF. ::flails:: He was on for a slice of opening sequence and I *felt* for him when he died. how? what? buh???

3) And you know what, I LOVE how it's Griffith and Rodney on the one side and on the other John and Zelenka, and it's a Flyboy and an Egghead and it's STILL not the John and Rodney dynamic. It's like, they tried to replace them, but Griffith doesn't get Rodney's snark and Zelenka's not on with John's tech-joy, and you see them both going, "It's not the SAME." ::SQUEE::

4) John and Rodney's been talking about making the puddlejumpers submersible! They were working on a PROJECT together! XD

5) God, you KNOW, you **KNOW** that Rodney wouldn't have nearly been freaking out as much had John been there too. ::EEE::

6) Hewlett needs to kiss people more. I'm just sayin'.

7) And how awesome was AT as Rodney's Sam-Voice? I admit I was afraid when I saw her name in the credits, but omg she was so worth it. SO WORTH IT. ::blows kisses at the writers::

8) I LOVE how John was so relentlessly optimistic about Rodney and Griffith's surviving, relentlessly, it recalls Ford, it harks back to Epiphany, it makes Sumner all the more horrifying. And god, this, just compared and contrasted to Zelenka's reaction and how John just...he bring the hope yo'. Like lighting candles and Hail Marys. ::happysigh:: And just...I don't think Rodney fully realizes that he lights them too, on some level he fully expected them to not try so hard to find him and on some level he doesn't trust them to be smart enough to save them and just...I'm imagining Lingstrom yelling for Rodney, Gaul dying to let Rodney go to John, Griffiths closing the jumper's doors to give Rodney a chance. And Rodney *still* doesn't accept it fully, he can't, he can't, because he knows himself well enough to be aware that on some level he's socially irredemable.

He doesn't yet get that people will forgive him for it. And he'll continue being an asshole and usually brilliant and sometimes fucking up and sometimes getting people killed...and he will be forgiven and they will still try to save him because (even though he doesn't know it) Rodney will do everything he can to save them in return.

10) So, see, this one time me and lierdumoa and fashes was watching Sci-Fi Behind The Scenes together. Teyla's actress (Rachel S?) was on camera, I think starting to answer a question about the difficulty of being on screen...and then Hewlett bounced in.

He says, "Be pretty, just be pretty!" And he looks quickly into camera, "it's what *I* do." And zips away.

Now. Imagine him mentally saying that to himself alllll through filming Grace Under Pressure! XD

GOD, I love my show! (shaddup, this *also* bears repeating)

This episode was just, so, OMFG. I'm not even going to *try* to be coherent about it. I really wish that we'd seen Ronon and Teyla being worried about McKay, too, but we got Zelenka and SAM so I guess I have to sacrifice.

And omg, I was in love with Griffin within the first *five seconds.* And was so sad when he died. Damn it, writers!

Also, I meantioned in my own reactions to the episode that people keep dying for Rodney, and how this has got to be fucking with him on some level. And it so is! It. . . just so is. You say it much better then I do though.

I was also very upset for Giffin dying, he was cool for his time in the spot light. *is sad*

I mean like, people complain that there's no continuity and the characters are badly written and one the one hand I'm like, the show is never gonna be perfect 'cause it was written by, y'know, HUMANS, and for another, WHAT SHOW ARE THEY WATCHING??? ::boggles:: I just...gah, my love for this show just grows and grows, and there miiiight be a chance that I'd get betrayed by the writers, but godDAMN I'm gonna take a page from Rodney's Sam voice and just BELIEVE and TRUST. YES. ::BOUNCES::

and GOD, yes! I love that one of the *worst* insults he utters is to call the puddlejumper a lemon! I just...see the resonances of that felt similar to Rodney yelling at Griffiths just before Griffiths died to save him and just...I want more Atlantis/Rodney fic. I do. I do. I do.
