DUDE. Escapade was so fun! However, am decompressing and catching up on schoolwork.

Also, I got a really really rather LARGE piece of fanart for astolat, if you were at the con, mum's the word, 'cause I want it to be a surprise. =D

Also, Notcapade 2006 is an *excellent* idea and props to cereta for getting the ball rolling on that one!

Also, jackiekjono!! I got your package and am having fangasm over the jams and music! ::feels loved:: =D


Brief con notes (more later):

- SO MANY COOL PEOPLE. ::HUGS YOU ALL:: I am highly woe that I did not manage to catch enough of the people I'd talked to and hug before I left but am getting the feeling that this is as in most cons because I felt the same way after VVC and BAScon too.

- was scared as fuck as usual before meeting people but it turned out mostly well I think

- the "Deus Dētrū́ditur Machina" panel (Wherein "God is returned to the machine.") did fulfill the "Purposefully Controversial" aspect of Escapade panels, did it not? Heh. In hindsight that was a highly ambitious panel especially considering it was my and lierdumoa's first meta/debate panel; it needed much more preparation and organization than we'd considered which is good to know for our future reference. My apologies to those for whom the panel didn't get to the topics that they wanted to talk/hear about as it ended up being rather disperse and off-topic by the end of it.

- room parties are the Best Thing Ever. EVER.

- elke_tanzer came up with the awesome idea of taking a vote ahead of time for the vids that members of the audience wanted to talk about, and then did it in order of votes, from most to least (with the people voting as many times as they want to). It worked like a charm and was a great use of the short time that we had to discuss vids and am so using it again if I do a vid panel in the future.

I really really wanted to go to your panel, but the folks driving me wanted to leave at 1:00. I'm sorry about that, and sorry to hear that it didn't turn out to be everything you wanted it to be. Do you have some notes for it?

dude, that's totally okay. We didn't really prepare properly for it and it was a good learning experience for future panels. Notes on the panel itself would be disjointed and random, lemme see if lierdumoa still has her copy of the notes we've brought in.

And we've never got to our chat on music...mergle, and I think that we have totally different schedules on aim. I'll pop off an email to you on the subject right now. =)
