::looks pitiful::

I am in dire need of some new work music...in specific some fast techo-trance. In more specific, I would adore you to *death* if you happen to have this series of techno remixes of classical music. Or that one girl that playes electric violin. Or, actually, anything by Apocalyptica.

(or, actually, if you know of/have anything in this trend of modern-classical music I would greatly adore it...)

I once had an awesome mp3 of a heavy metal band playing Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King," but that was one hard-drive death ago, and I've since lost it.

I've got one Trans-Siberian orchestra song (Mephistopheles' Return) that I could email you, but that's about it. My music collection tends towards country, show tunes, and 80s/90s rock (and hip hop scrounged off my sister's ipod).

I have Vivaldi's "Storm" techno-ified and (I'm guessing) much shortened. Want me to send it?

I have a lot of Apocalyptica, and possibly a few others.

This is chikkiboo, by the way. I'm logged into an account I use for playing a silly rpg and don't feel like logging out... sorry

Oooh, sure. I've sent the mp3 to your yahoo email address; you should be able to get my University of Maryland address off that. Send the Carol of the Bells file to that, as my older Hollins email would bounce a file that big.

Hrmmm. I have a version of Toccatta and Fugue in D Minor, (otherwise known as A Night on Bald Mountain) by Vanessa Mae. I also have some interesting blends of ambient and orchestra from Hybrid. Original pieces though, not rehashes of classical standards. Hybrid is really good for that. Their latest album I Choose Noise? Is evil in that type of brilliant mix of old and new sounds.

Will those suit you? *grins*

I'm going to do a music post tonight or tomorrow, so keep an eye out -- I'll put some techno in it for you :D

I love stuff like that. I don't have any of it uploaded or on this computer at the moment, though. (And are you thinking of Vanessa Mae?)

Anyway, although this isn't exactly along the same lines, maybe some of the stuff I uploaded for someone the other day might be fun:

Rising, Nikata, Labyrinth, and Panther are all modern tsugaru, played on the shamisen. Tsugaru Apple Mix is a DDR verson of tsugaru. Festivo is good too (it's from the closing scene in the Beat Takeshi "Zatoichi").

Vanessa-Mae would be "that girl who plays electric violin." And I have some of her stuff, but I'd have to scour my CDS for it.

I have all of Bond's CDs, if you consider that modern-classical enough and you don't already have them. Not techno, but very similar to Vanessa-Mae (the girl who plays electric violin).

I'll gladly rip them for you.

The three Bond songs I already have ripped (right click, save):

Allegretto, Explosive, and The 1812

Also, the only Vanessa Mae song I have (I keep meaning to buy her discs and forgetting): Beethoven's 5th

...ooh, hey, seeing above about Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I also have, er. All there discs - including Beethoven's Last Night, which is there only non-Christmas one. ...want it/them?

*is ripping Bond for you right now*
