...well, it technically wasn't gold. It was one of those goldfish that was silvery grey.

I named him Nicolas. The other one's (the gold one) is still alive, tho, and flittering around. I'd named him Vash.

...

I should have known, really.

Never name fish after the dead. When it ends badly you always feel like you cursed 'em with bad karma.

And, dude, you totally should have known.

Dude, he has swum up the curtains and joined the choir invisible. That is an ex-fish.

Condolances to you and Vash. Nicolas is a wonderful name.

I picture him going into the sea covered with a Union Jack in true Horation Hornblower funereal style.

*huggles* It sucks when goldfish die. I used to hvae a couple of those fighting fish and my mom got sick of em so she dumped em in the same bowl....

They didn't last long.

Sorry I haven't said anything in a while (Computer go boom, we just got it fixed).
Monday, June 28th, 2004 04:32 pm (UTC)
... O.O... I want your icon. NGHHH!! *has spontaneous orgasm over Wolfwood*...

I named a goldfish Fred once.

... Isn't it amazing how I can switch from one topic to another so easily? XDDD

Ah, I already got my three icon limits. Maybe I'll buy myself icons for Christmas, XDDD

It was named Fred because my bobble head dog is named Bob and I needed a Fred to go with Bob. The goldfish wasn't real, mind you. A little stuffed toy.

And when did i leave that comment?

::cries::

Why does it ALWAYS have to be this way? Oh curse the foul chains of fate! How I weep that no matter what the form he is blessed with or even that he abides in an environment of sweet clear water so unlike the harsh and dusty sands of his previous life, still he is taken from us! Fortune is a cruel mistress!

*points*

NOTHING is better than this comment. Still, my condolences.

Everyone's laughing, really. On the inside.

*cracks up*
Monday, June 28th, 2004 03:24 pm (UTC)
Oh, good. Cause my first reaction was that it was funny, but then after reading other people's comments I felt kinda bad for mocking your pet's death.
Monday, June 28th, 2004 06:57 pm (UTC)
Well, just think of the alternative. Kevin Kline could have eaten them. It's probably better this way. The last fishy face he saw was Vash's.

YOu've never seen that movie?

Okay, get your ASS down to the rental store NOW. Right now. Stand up, leave the computer, and march to your nearest rental place and pick up the DVD or video NOW.

Because, and I say this with complete seriousness, A Fish Called Wanda is the funniest movie I have ever seen. There is no comparison. I've seen it like 7 times by now and I still crack up. The whole cast is so... god, it's so funny. And the fish eating scene is one of the funniest.

Rent it. And don't drink too many liquids while you watch or you might snort them up your nose by accident.

Aww...*hugs* Fish are mysterious things. You never really know why they go. They just kinda do.
Monday, June 28th, 2004 04:54 pm (UTC)
I had some of those once. They went down to one, which ended up being something like ten years old, over six inches long, and a freakin' cannibal. We stuck snails, other goldfish, and those bottom-feeding suckerfish things in, and it ate them all. Freakin' creepy.

...it also developed what looked like cataracts. So I had a blind, vicious, twisty thing.

Sands was so inevitable, now that I think about it. Also: I hook you on this webcomic yet?
