well. so in a fit of procrasinisitic panicking went into work-denial-mode and touched up a pic



which is *completely* unmanipped except for the background softening.

I copy pasted the thing so that there's several layers to play with, softened the topmost layer and erased the rest with a fuzzy edged eraser. I find it easier then lasso, because you can 'undo'. Sometimes I want a fuzzier edge so I erase less, or I don't erase all the 'inner' softness so that skin and hair is smoothed more. If I want a more crisp outer edge I erase more of the top, softened layer...or sometimes I don't even know which one I want so I copypaste a half done layer, send it to the back and continue working...
