I'm on the quote-hunt again...googling as always, but just thought to see if anyone might know of something that might work.
In particular, I need something about chasing or hunting or loving the chase, maybe something about the game of cat and mouse or something similar. Any ideas?
[edit] ones found, any favorites?
"By scratching and biting, cat and dog come together."
- anon.
"It's simple. You run. We chase. If we catch you, you die. We'll give you three minutes head start." - Jez
"Those who will play with cats must expect to be scratched."
~ Cervantes
"Mieux vaut la chasse en amour que la prise."
--Étienne Pasquier, Jeux poétiques
In love, the chase is better than the catch.
"It doesn’t matter whether you’re a lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you’d better be running." - Anonymous
"Cats were put into the world to disprove the dogma that all things were created to serve man."
- paul gray
"There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter."
- Hemingway
"Some people say that cats are sneaky, evil, and cruel. True, and they have many other fine qualities as well." ~Missy Dizick

I also found this:
"How much has to be explored and discarded before reaching the naked flesh of feeling."
Claude Debussy
which may not be exactly right but it does involve chasing and playing and has the right sort of intensity.
