Piratefest update

holy shit am tired.

BUT DUDE! SO MUCH FUN! Spazzy fun at sunset_sailors (Sailing Into the Sunset '04) and there was sailing (and a huge sunburn) and FINALLY met linaelyn (who turned into Jack! Whee! And at whom I'd swear I'd explode and totally ruin the big surprise but I'd restrained and OMG THE PICTURES ARE GOING TO BE HILARIOUS...we should make a .gif...) and met ponderosa121 who was great, ahem, added graciously to a pirate coloring book (Now, with BUGGERY!), which will be scanned, the vibrant monkeypuzzle and hazelhawthorne and being all cute, and the awesome conspiritorial gryphons_lair (with one of the BEST costumes ever!), and fabu! ::GLOMP:: dear dear fabu I'm am ashamed to say that I expected you with red-hair too...::abash'ed::

And of course the ritual watching of Pirates of the Caribbean. Wow. Man, I'm all aflustered with pirate feeling again, peeking above that wry nostalgia that fandom gives me. Might actually pick up those lapsed fics again. =)

Speaking of which, the challenge drabble that was incomplete before I had to leave yesterday:

Jack woke in the cup of a corner with his hand on a shapely backside, the weather happy like a devil's contentment, with the sky gorgeous (and bright) and the sun beaming (a scorching smile) and the air crisp (clearly carrying all the voices of seems what like all the gulls in the caribbean).

Like all his mistresses, Jack's rum sometimes slaps him in the morning. He would think it otherwise, it's not like he deserved that.

Speaking of mistresses..Jack petted the stern.

"We'll use more oil next time."

The Pearl groaned, but grumpily started waking up for the new day.

'Cause klostes said (here),
"And I do buy Jack Sparrow as most definitely bi, poly, and whatever else may come his way to try, seeing as how his first love will always be the Pearl and those knotholes do chafe after a while, I'm sure."

and heh, canon OTP! XD

to be perfectly honest, I question my own social skills very very often too. I feel like all my minorly witty thoughts are confined to LJ or something.
