Ep 1&2 Rising

- Dude, they weren't kidding about the Jack/Daniel

- awwww, John issocute. and confused.

- Like, Dude. They REALLY weren't kidding about the Jack/Daniel

- No, like, REALLY. Jack/Daniel. wtf. Canon hammer, yo. ::boggle:: Which is astonishing to me 'cause I've been in a fandom where the majority of the fic is centered around slash for two characters who'd spent 5 min. in the same room with each other and in comparison this is like, yanno. ::flails::

- everyone is adorable!! omg. They're all like "Squee!" awwwww!

- John. Sheppard's. Hair. Dude, his hair! The *mushroom* *head* with the goggles. DUDE. ::glee::

- o.0 he just de-mathed rodney!

- turkey sandwich! BWAH! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the use of soundtrack here!

- wow, john just flirts with everything that moves eh? (and most things that *don't* move)


Ep2. Hide and Seek

- omg john&rodney issocute. wah!

- sheppard/football otp XD. he's also hogging the popcorn LIKE WHOA.

- okay, so the ancients are trying to ascend to become energy. Aaaaand there's possible gene therapy with shadow creature that is energy and that *eats* energy.

::cough:: is just me, or does that sound vaguely Wraith-like?

Eps 3~6

I didn't take much notes for these eps, but I really really must say that John Sheppard's hair is awe inspiring in its...::flails:: thatness. It's

Inexplicable.

Ineffable, even.

Like, I would forget...and then THERE it is again. o.0 How is it possible for hair to DO that? Honestly! ::flails::

Also, like, it really is physically impossible for Sheppard to not flirt, huh? 'Cause like, you hear it described, but you really really just have to *see* it...


Ep 7 Poisoning The Well - HOLY EPISODE LOVE

- Thinking out loud: what's up with this show and its themes of sacrifice?

also the vault of knowledge = price of knowledge?

Wraith = age? As in the Wraith representing aging? ::ponders::

what is the price of hunger? Especially if the Wraith are the Ancients who had a lab accident with Shadow genes while trying to Ascend...what would you do to live? Would you eat thinking beings? Would you sacrifice your fellow men? Would you sacrifice your teammates?

- the captured Wraith is meditating in the same position (or hand position) as the Athrosians? (sp??)

- caged Wraith like contained death, so creepycool

- So strange of seeing a show having and dealing with humans being in a predator-prey relationship where humans are on the prey side. I wonder if cows feel this way.

- They tested giving the Wraith other live subjects, but only humans lives will do?....dude, Wraith = Reavers? Why specifically human lives? Or are we just tastier?

- interesting with way the fade on Dr. Wier's reflection goes to the caged wraith

- wow, nice paralleling of medical ethics and martial ethics? BioE Ethics playing relay with Ethics of POWs and Sheppard is playing Interrogator and ooooo, nice mental place.

- ...WOW. Guy is *stripping* before the Wraith. They went there. This is all like prison/slave something something fantasy gone wrong and ....o.0 DUDE. This. dude.

- also, I'm kinda sorry for Steve. They tricked him with the food...

But sorta in that way that if I was a cow I would be regretful that I'd be a mad cow and thus make burgers that would kill people, 'cause killing people would suck.

- Ohhh! and like the nuclear standoff issue! Wow I LOVE THIS EP.

- OH GOD THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T COP OUT THE ENDING.

This ep, god, whirly bits of thoughts on this one, I'll definately have to watch this one over again. I love how on one level this ep is so simple, and yet...and yet. Sheppard as an unwilling interrogator and Beckett arguing medical ethics and Wier with that slippery slope and it allll slippery slopes and it's like a nuclear standoff, but not, and the vault and the caged tiger and what would you do to live?


Ep8. Underground

- OH MY GOD RODNEY AND JOHN, HOW CUTE ARE THEY BEING LOST. XD

- and THERE's the SHOE. ROCK, that's a marvelous use of discontinuity. =D

- ...John Sheppard just took a drink of beer while holding his party hostage. I haven't seen a held-at-gunpoint senario this entertaining since Lex Luthor on drugs. ::is highly amused::

- the mist as ascended or pre-ascended?

Episode wins for Most Disturbing Episode Ever. I swear I almost turned it off in the beginning 'cause I thought it'd gone all wierd and...not-something ::flails::; I'm SO glad I stuck with it...

Dude, what kills me is that this ep is called The Eye, 'cause you know, even when the hurricane has ended, the larger storm is still coming and and wah! Also, Ninja!John and Brave!Rodney and with that surprising way that Wier is trembling and strong and the remarkable part of this is that they didn't try to separate this out in her, it's a strength that's very much *different* from the others in a way that I'm struggling to define. Because while Teyla's strength is also a sort of female strength, it's both similar and different to Wier's. huh.

I feel very sorry for you. Seriousness. Isn't it odd how quickly people start assuming everyone has the same connection they do? That used to bother the crap out of me when I had dialup.
