There was this fic (by leah??) where John was particularly fond of his sidearm and even gave it a name. It was a big deal when he gave it to Rodney, and I see that scene in this ep in a similar vein. I'm hoping there will be follow up fics with a cranky John all pissed at Rodney for shooting at him like that *g*

I'd think more people lke Sheppard though. Not our grumpy science geek. *grins* I'm still amazed a more than a few of the twists, which my friend deathlike called.(IE: FORD!) We were marathoning this all during the holidays. He was watching SGA and SG1 season 9. I just mainlined SGA like there was no tommorrow.

I haven't felt that 'obsession' click since Saiyuki, and i think Mushishi earlier this year. and Mushishi doesn't really demand fic like this one does.

XD dude, you'd be surprised. And yeah! I swear, SGA's twists is more like anime than any other live action show I've seen yet. I just can't believe they had the balls to do that, and then I realized it was because Sci-Fi has two other shows to carry the audience and SGA's all, "w00t! let's go have FUN now!"

And I know about the 'obsession' click, but it hasn't hit so much for me since PotC and I think at this point I'm even MORE in love with it than PotC which is saying soooo much. I even changed my default icon!

XD Torri H actually said something to that effect during the behind the scenes episode Sci-Fi aired; she rocks so much.

I sorta ship many many pairing for SGA, I keep an eye on sga_newsletter and figure that most of the fics pass through there. I'm trying to keep my flist semi-manageable, the last time I was in a large fandom I had to get a second journal for my flist and *that* didn't work out well at all. ::wry grin::

I completely understand. The RPs I'm in alone tend to flood my flist at times. I had to de-friend one of my larger comms for that very reason, like, two days ago.

I saw that! Yeah, TH is so funny and giggly; she and RL had way too much fun doing the DVD commentary tracks, I tell ya. ;)

So, so pretty. I fall in love every time I see it. Although, in one of those shots there was something really funky going on with the water. It looked kinda dirty.

I was thinking about the whole gender switchy thing too in the last few episodes, especially The Tower.

And yeah, genderswitchy thing interesting in this ep (via the name switch) and The Tower that switches up the gender coding on the seduction scene. The interesting thing with Elizabethan imagery, too, is that that era had the dominant gender-type be women. Men aspired towards "feminine" traits (long hair, hosery, ornamentation, delicateness), partly due to Queen Elizabeth, partly because it was fashionable.
