part of it might be because I never found Legolas that attractive (I was more drawn towards the scruffy ranger and was totally mystified when everybody came out and was like "THE ELF!"). The more I looked into the pairing the more I loved it, and I'm totally ignoring the movie subtext between Aragorn and Legolas because even though I see it, now, from the movie, I'm totally uninterested in it.
